Renaissance Services has constituted its Youth Shadow Advisory Board, a pioneering cross-mentoring initiative, which will see the youth contribute their perspective on building a future-focused, diversified business ecosystem while gaining from the company Board’s expertise.
The Youth Shadow Advisory Board forms an integral part of Renaissance 2.0, which is all about future-focused transformation. Samir J Fancy, Chairman, Renaissance Services, said the initiative oversteps the conventional belief that only age and degrees are imperative to guide a company and opens the stage for minds well-versed in future competencies to challenge these preconceived notions. “When you journey into the metaverse, you need young guns by your side.“
Constituting the shadow board are Ahlam Alkiyumi, H H Sayyid Al Muatasim Al Said, Amani Fancy, Fatma Bahwan Al Mukhaini, Jana Eissa, Sheikh Julanda Al Hashmi, Mariam Khalid Al Subhi, Naz Tuzunalper, Riham Al Maskari and Sharif Abdulrazeq. Aged between 18 and 29 years, these ten members have been selected from Oman, UAE, Jordan, and the UK and have academic backgrounds ranging from engineering, medicine, business management, law and technology to psychology, strategy and sociology. By bringing diversity of thought and insights that connect with the future, they will contribute to Renaissance’s growth ambitions in newer customer segments and markets that resonate with tomorrow’s generation.
On the other hand, this two-way engagement will see them develop critical leadership skills under the mentorship of executives with decades of experience and be shaped as effective young global leaders ready to take on dynamic market environments.
