Dr Lamya Al-Haj is an associate professor at Sultan Qaboos University, a researcher with passion for biofuels, a public speaker, and a change management coach. She is a recipient of the World Academy of Science Fellowship, has been the winner of the 2018 L’Oréal - UNESCO For Women in Science - Middle East Fellowship, and named Young Global Leader 2020 by the World Economic Forum. She holds a PhD in Structural & Molecular Biology from University College London (UCL) and an MSc in Environmental Science and Technology from UNSW (Australia) where she received the prestigious Boban Marcovic Prize in Environmental Science in 2006.
